Dumpster Rental Dallas
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you want to know about renting a dumpster in Dallas–Fort Worth.
How much does a dumpster rental cost in Dallas?
Most residential rentals in Dallas–Fort Worth run $275–$500 depending on size and your location. Pricing is flat-rate — what you're quoted is what you pay, no surprises on the invoice. Call (972) 585-6281 for an exact number for your job.
What size dumpster do I need?
A good rule of thumb: if you're walking debris to the dumpster and tossing it in, you can go smaller. If you're using a wheelbarrow or machinery, go larger. Most homeowners also underestimate the size they need — it's cheaper to get one bigger dumpster upfront than to have it hauled away, emptied, and redelivered. A 10-yard handles single-room cleanouts. A 20-yard covers most residential jobs (garage, bathroom remodel, roofing). A 30-yard is for large renovations. A 40-yard is for major construction or commercial work.
How long can I keep the dumpster?
Standard rentals are up to 10 days. Additional usage fees kick in after that, so if you need more time, let us know before the pickup date and we'll work it out. No penalty for finishing early — just call when you're ready and we'll come get it.
Do you offer same-day or next-day delivery?
Next-day delivery is what you can count on across the Dallas–Fort Worth area. Same-day is sometimes possible depending on availability — call early in the morning to check. If a customer cancels, you could get yours even sooner, but we won't promise that.
What extra fees should I watch out for?
If you stay within the standard terms, there are no extra charges — you pay exactly what was quoted. Additional fees only apply if you: keep the dumpster more than 10 days, overfill it past the rim, load materials that aren't allowed (see the prohibited items question), call for pickup but aren't actually ready, block the driver's access to the dumpster, or cancel with less than 24 hours' notice.

Do I need a permit to rent a dumpster in Dallas?
If the dumpster sits on your private property — your driveway or yard — no permit is required. If it needs to go in the street or public right-of-way, the City of Dallas requires a right-of-way permit. We can walk you through the process when you book.
Can I put a dumpster on the street?
Yes, but a permit is required. Dallas requires a right-of-way permit for dumpsters placed on public streets. Depending on your suburb, local rules may differ. When possible, placing the dumpster on your driveway avoids the permit process.
What happens if I go over the weight limit?
Each dumpster size comes with a weight allowance. If your load exceeds that limit, an overage fee applies per ton. We'll disclose the overage rate upfront when you book. If you're loading heavy materials like concrete, dirt, or roofing tiles, ask about our heavy-material pricing.
How does delivery work?
A truck drops the roll-off at your address on the scheduled date — you don't need to be home. Make sure the drop area is clear, flat, and accessible for the truck. If it's going in your driveway, lay down 4×8 sheets of plywood first to protect the surface from cracking under the dumpster's weight. Watch for low-hanging trees and power lines that could limit placement.
Are you a local company or a broker?
We are a local referral service connecting you directly with a Dallas-area dumpster company — not a national broker. That means when you call, you're dealing with someone who knows the Metroplex, answers their phone, and can make decisions on the spot. No getting transferred around or waiting on hold.
Can businesses rent dumpsters too?
Yes — we serve both residential and commercial customers. Businesses get the same pricing and next-day delivery as homeowners, with up to 10 days before additional usage fees apply. If you need a dumpster on-site for weeks or months, that's available too.
What areas do you serve?
We serve Dallas, Fort Worth, Carrollton, Rockwall, Richardson, Arlington, Southlake, Oak Cliff, and surrounding DFW communities. If you're not sure whether we cover your area, call us.
How do I schedule pickup?
Call or text us when you're done filling the dumpster. We'll schedule pickup — usually the same or next business day. You don't need to be home for pickup either.
